Nicks ramdom thoughts

Well got to Chiang Mai at about 6.00 PM after 8 hour drive, it was slow because it was raining for half the way and sometimes it was torrential, had to slow down to 40 KPH at one point and yes I did get stopped for speeding I was clocked at 124 (the limit is 120) so with lots of smiling and saying that it was "nidnoi" over the limit he let me off, what a nice policeman!!!!

Went up stairs in the house and found that our mattress in our bedroom was damp along one edge, looks like what has happened is that grandma (Garn's mum) put the mattress on its side by the window must have had a really bad storm 1 night and the rain came through a crack in the window. Anyway not much damage that turning the fan on it for a couple of hours whilst we go and have a few beers.

Chiang Mai has a really nice English pub, called "The Pub" its in a 50+ year old building that is just like a real English pub. Also do great English pub food there and best of all serve "Walkers" Salt and Vinegar crisps.
